New features and improvements​

• Applications now deploy in the background — leave the page once you kick off a deploy and let Epinio handle the rest.
• Server-side search and pagination across application and resource tables to increase client performance.
• Application deployment progress is now visible via the notifications panel.
• Epinio can now be installed in namespaces other than epinio.
• Default token expiry is now configurable.

UI​

This release delivers the full Trailhand design system rollout across Epinio. Every major area of the UI has been updated, including applications, services, configurations, catalog, and the about page. This also lets us move much quicker on future updates to the UI and backend, now that we are less restricted by legacy UI components.

• Application creation and editing now use a streamlined modal flow.
• Service detail pages now show internal paths.
• Namespace column added to the services and configuration tables.
• Removed the redundant "Show Configuration" feature from the Rancher Extension.
• Added UI guards to match the backend permission guards.

Maintenance and fixes​

• Fixed service bindings taking too long to complete.
• Fixed application creation error messages not displaying correctly.
• Fixed inconsistent column spacing across namespace tables.
• Fixed Dex login issues when multiple clusters are present in the Rancher Extension.
• Improved application creation progress step copy for clarity.
• Allow rebuild to succeed with missing resources when there is a git source.

Documentation updates​

• We started the process of reorganizing and adding additional documentation.
• Added documentation around the KUBE_API_QPS and KUBE_API_BURST performance variables.

• Bumped Dex to v2.45.1.
• Bumped dozens of dependencies.

Epinio MCP (experimental)​

We recently made an early version of the Epinio MCP server available. Note that this is still experimental, and we will update you all as it becomes stable.

Helm chart enhancements​

Performance enhancements​

• New centralized logger (we'll migrate fully to this in 1.13.6).
• Service bindings, especially multiple bindings, now run in parallel.

UI and CLI changes​

• The new user experience has been designed, and we've begun implementing components. This reforms how the UI looks (while staying familiar) and improves performance over the next few updates up to 1.14.0.
• Dark/light mode toggle.
• Updated table component using our new design system, including client-side pagination (server-side pagination coming in 1.13.6).
• CLI logging improvements and general bug fixes.
• Several bug fixes around buttons and form flow.
