            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We have been teasing this release for a while, and the 1.13.X series was laying the
groundwork for exactly this moment. 1.14.0 is here, and it delivers the Epinio UI
overhaul, major performance improvements, and a long list of features and fixes
across the board.</p><p>Customers currently on a prior release are encouraged to review the documentation
for updates and <a href="https://docs.epinio.io/reference/upgrading" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">breaking changes</a>. You can also schedule time with us to review these updates.</p><h2 class="anchor anchorWithStickyNavbar_LWe7" id="new-features-and-improvements">New features and improvements<a class="hash-link" href="#new-features-and-improvements" title="Direct link to heading">​</a></h2><ul><li>Applications now deploy in the background — leave the page once you kick off a deploy and let Epinio handle the rest.</li><li>Server-side search and pagination across application and resource tables to increase client performance.</li><li>Application deployment progress is now visible via the notifications panel.</li><li>Epinio can now be installed in <a href="https://docs.epinio.io/installation/install_epinio#install-epinio-in-a-custom-namespace" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">namespaces other than</a> <code>epinio</code>.</li><li>Default token expiry is <a href="https://docs.epinio.io/installation/install_epinio#server-configuration" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">now configurable</a>.</li><li>Improved performance via the <code>KUBE_API_QPS</code> and <code>KUBE_API_BURST</code> environment variables.</li></ul><h2 class="anchor anchorWithStickyNavbar_LWe7" id="ui">UI<a class="hash-link" href="#ui" title="Direct link to heading">​</a></h2><p>This release delivers the full Trailhand design system rollout across Epinio. Every
major area of the UI has been updated, including applications, services,
configurations, catalog, and the about page. This also lets us move much quicker on
future updates to the UI and backend, now that we are less restricted by legacy UI
